We are glad that you chose the Elam Cemetery as the final resting place for your loved ones. We want to work closely with you in your commemorative choices while also keeping our goal of maintaining a beautiful, respectful and tasteful Cemetery.
Lot holders may have the privilege of decorating graves at the Cemetery under the following rules established by the Elam Cemetery Committee:
A permanent memorial, marker or other structure can be placed on any grave but must be approved by the Chairman of the Elam Cemetery Committee or his/her designee. Markers, including foundations, will be supplied and erected at the owner’s expense and installed under the supervision of the Chairman or designee. Black paint is not to be used on the engraved lettering of the marker or stone.
Rails, fences or other enclosures are not to be erected on any grave.
Permanent planting of trees, shrubs, flowers or plants will not be allowed.
The grade of all lots is established by the Cemetery Committee and cannot be changed by the lot owner.
All decorations will be removed three weeks after placement.
The Cemetery Committee reserves the right to remove from any grave anything that conflicts with these regulations.
If you have any questions before you honor the memory of your loved one, please contact the Cemetery Committee at 610-459-2911.
